FocusOne in the Community: Food Bank for the Heartland and MICAH House

Seasons come and seasons go (sometimes too quickly in the Midwest) but this past holiday season will not be forgotten! The FocusOne Solutions team was fortunate enough to spend the season in good company with our new friends at the Food Bank for the Heartland and at the MICAH House!

We volunteered with the "backpack for kids" program at the Food Bank for the Heartland, and in two hours we were able to pack more than 4,400 "backpacks" which equates to more than 17,000 meals for area children who may not have access to other food sources over the weekends or during times of school break.

We were busy working at not one, but two tables at Food Bank for the Heartland. Courtney, Patty and Kayla seal "backpacks" while Adam and Alan box them up. 

Our team made more than 50 children smile by putting together tote bags of presents and goodies for the MICAH House this holiday season. The MICAH House is the only short-term emergency shelter serving families in the Omaha metro area. They provided services to more than 850 individuals in 2017!
