Streamline Your Non-Clinical Staffing Through a MSP

It’s hard to believe we are already a few months into the New Year. January was a whirlwind, especially with our team returning the first week of January to a record breaking week for the most placements and extensions in FocusOne’s history! If that wasn’t enough – we broke the record again the following week! I’m extremely proud of how hard the team has been working to fill your urgent staffing requests.  Also in January, our team gathered for our 2020 “Kick Off Celebration” where we reviewed highlights from the previous year and shared key initiatives for the upcoming year. I’m proud to share our program grew 23% last year, we added 21 new employees to the team, and we maintained an impressive 95% client retention rating!

What’s in store for 2020? We are happy to announce we are expanding our service offering to include streamlining your non-clinical staffing through our managed services program! You might be asking, what is considered non-clinical staffing? That’s a good question and the simple answer would be any position that does not involve direct patient care, such as Executive Leadership, Finance and Accounting, IT/IS, Environmental Services, Administrative and Clerical, to name just a few. Over the years, our clients have seen the positive impact our service has had on the clinical areas of their organization and we want them to experience those same efficiencies in their non-clinical areas. As we’ve received more requests in non-clinical departments, we’ve established a strong network of affiliates that can staff these positions, including our sister affiliates Aureus Group, Celebrity Staff, and AurStaff.

Why have FocusOne manage your non-clinical staffing?  In speaking with clients, we’ve learned non-clinical staffing is often handled by individual departments, without much oversight or consistency throughout the organization. During a partnership review, a Human Resources representative shared their department recently learned of contractors who had been working at their organization for over 10 years and Human Resources was not aware they were working. Are you concerned this may be happening at your organization? If so, here are a few questions you may want to consider:

  1. Do you know which departments are utilizing non-clinical contract labor in your organization, and if so, would you have 100% confidence their employee file is compliant in the event of an audit?
  2. If the CEO of your organization called, could you confidently answer how much you’re spending on non-clinical contract labor each year? Wouldn’t it be nice to have this information at your fingertips by making a quick call to FocusOne – or better yet – this data is presented to you via your partnership review? And while we’re on the topic of spend, are you getting the best pricing with your current non-clinical staffing vendors? We often hear our clients are working with only a few non-clinical staffing companies, which doesn’t always result in competitive pricing.

Alarm bells may be going off for a few of you at this point! Good news, we have the solution! Call FocusOne and we can discuss how to easily roll non-clinical staffing requests into our program, with minimal effort required on your end. If you’re a FocusOne client, we already have an agreement in place and would just need to add an amendment to establish pricing for non-clinical positions. If you’re not currently working with FocusOne, not to worry…non-clinical pricing is now part of our standard agreement. Very simple! If you’re not the individual who oversees non-clinical labor, we would appreciate an introduction to the individual at your organization who does. We’d love the opportunity to discuss how this service offering would benefit your organization.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of the FocusOne program.
